In our “Mind’s Eye”, we saw the year very differently from the way it played out. Many corporate businesses put their projects on hold. Even some special events that were on the books were stopped with a wait and see attitude. Other business projects moved forward, because the people in charge knew they needed to continue their marketing campaigns no matter what. One of those businesses is Dr. David Shirazi of Conejo Valley. Dr. Shirazi used the video medium to increase his client base by creating TV commercials and web based videos with patient testimonials and utilizing his Doctor on Demand expertise. In September, veteran comedian Mort Sahl performed at Catalina Jazz Club where a new CD audio recording was created. Shopzilla.com’s conference in October, brought together experts from Google, MySpace and others with their presentations documented in HD video for the web. CalVideo teamed up with Let’s Talk Franchises of New York to create a sales franchise video for Magnolia Pool Supply. One of the highlights of the year was the re-teaming of Ken Levine of Visible Media and Lon Andre of CalVideo. Ken’s expertise as a marketing and branding specialist on the agency side, and Lon’s creative talent on the video side puts together a winning combination. On the sound side, Perris Alexander continued to use his award winning skills in both music composition and arranging. We thank everyone who worked with us during this tough economic year, and we look forward to the new projects that will be created in 2010.
